Yesterday, November 16, eleven THS members and staff (13 if you add in members Willis and Shirley Johnson !) were among scores of folks who attended a “ticket tearing” at the York Theatre, Elmhurst, Illinois to open a new 10th screen. It also became the 100th screen for Classic Cinemas, the family owned chain with 13 locations across Northern Illinois, many of which are renovated vintage theatres. www.classiccinemas.com Congratulations to the Johnson family! THS headquarters, archive and museum have been upstairs at the York for 20 years. (RS)
