First Tuesday Film Club:
Over the past several months we have spoken to and met with a number of movie goers encouraging us to offer an art/specialty movie once every month.  With that in mind, the Lake Theatre is embarking on a trial program to present an art, foreign, documentary, specialty, or classic movie on the first Tuesday of every month. 
 
We have formed an advisory committee to assist with the selection of films, to help secure special guest lecturers and film discussion leaders, and suggest ways to spread the word throughout Oak Park, River Forest and the surrounding area.  Our current committee currently includes:

            Bobbie Raymond
            Susie Helfrich
            Mary Kay O'Grady
            Shirley Johnson  (Classic Cinemas)

"A Royal Affair" is an 18th century historical drama and epic romance about the love triangle between a German doctor, the queen of Denmark, and her deranged king. "A Royal Affair", will be presented on Tuesday, January 8 at 12:00 and 7:00 p.m.  Admission is $6 matinee/senior and $8.50 evening. 

Due to New Year's Day falling on Tuesday, January 1, we will postpone our January movie for one week until Tuesday, January 8, 2013.  We appreciate your continued support of our First Tuesday Film Club and look forward to continuing this series in the coming months.
