Join the Lake Theatre and Oak Park Women’s Guild for a showing of ET to help support the Allen Family. In July, 2014, Oak Parker’s welcomed their son Kasani. After birth, Kasani’s condition rapidly declined. Following two surgeries & 80 days in Neonatal Intensive Care, he was released home. The Oak Park Movie Fundraiser will be showing ET on Saturday, February 28 that 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $5 and 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Allen family.
The Lake Theatre will show special films that are art, foreign, documentary, specialty or classic movies on the first Tuesday of every month. Angel Azul, will be shown on Tuesday, March 3 at 12:00 and 7:00 p.m. Admission is $6 matinee/senior & $8.50 evening. Angel Azul: is a documentary narrated by Peter Coyote about the creation of coral reefs from statues cast from live models by artist Jason deCaires Taylor. Part of Green Community Connections – One Earth Film Festival.
Green Community Connections – One Earth Film Festival presents Return of the River (69 minutes) on Saturday, March 7 at 10:00 AM. Admission is $6.00. GCC will have a moderator to give an introduction and to conduct a Q&A following the show.
