Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
The original film showcases a young Natalie Wood as Susan who believes that Kris Kringle may actually be Santa Claus, who shares his spirit at the renowned Macy’s department store in New York City. Her mother, played by Maureen O’Hara, has her misgivings about Kris Kringle playing Santa and thinks this seasonal job in an unhealthy way to fulfill his life’s fantasy. People, especially Susan, begin to notice that there really is something special about Kris and believe he has the ability to bring the true spirit of Christmas to believers, both young and old.
