Shine a Light
After exploring the careers of the Band in "The Last Waltz" and Bob Dylan in "No Direction Home: Bob Dylan", acclaimed director Martin Scorsese turns his lens on rock & roll legends the Rolling Stones for this feature focusing on two concerts from the band's 2006 A Bigger Bang tour. In addition to extensive coverage of the band's two-night stand at New York's intimate Beacon Theater, the film also features historical footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage from decades past. Scorsese left no detail out in making sure that the Beacon performances were covered from every angle possible.

The York Theatre will be showing the film Shine A Light on Thursday, May 30th at 9:00 p.m. The film will be a kick-off to the Elmhurst Historical Museum’s exhibit “Shutter to Think: The Rock & Roll Lens of Paul Natkin”. You can view the exhibit at the Elmhurst Historical Museum from May 31st through August 25th.

Paul Natkin will be introducing the film! Advance tickets are now available at the box office or online.
