Perks of Being a Wallflower, The

Charlie is preparing for the living hell that is freshman year. A thoughtful, intelligent 15-year-old, Charlie struggles to fit in, but eventually find himself adopted by a boisterous crowd of seniors that includes the witty and confident Patrick and the effervescently beautiful Sam. His new friends encourage him to come out of his shell, introducing him to music, film, drugs, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and eventually love, when he falls hard for Sam. But nothing is ever simple, and Charlie soon finds himself the keeper of everyone's secrets. As his carefully constructed world crumbles around him, Charlie struggles to hold it together. But it's only when he can't anymore that he discovers the depths of his friendships.
