Carrion Vine, The
The documentary is based on the book, “The Carrion Vine,” authored by Erane Elizabeth Scully, a 90 year old resident of Woodstock. It’s an incredible real life story about the author at 14 years old, and her mother, returning to their home in Switzerland after vacationing in western Poland. The day they are on the train to Warsaw, Hitler invades Poland and bombs out the train station. They flee on foot trying to escape the German army, only to be captured by the Russians and shopped to a Siberian labor camp. The story is filled with one unbelievable event after another.

Presented by Second Monday Film Club at the Woodstock Theatre on Monday, March 13 at 1:00 & 7:00 PM. General Admission Prices Apply. (Brought back by popular demand.)
