The After Hours Film Society is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit cultural organization formed to encourage the appreciation of cinema, both as an art and as a medium of information and education.  Our mission is to provide the suburban community with

Critic's Classic LogoCritics Classics @ Elk Grove 
Critics Classics at Elk Grove Theatre is in conjunction with the Chicago Film Critics Association.  Each film is selected by the member of the CFCA who will host
 an introduction and a short Q&A after the show.  Films will run the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm with select films also showing at 1:00pm.
 

Charlestowne 18

The Charlestowne 18 Theatre will be showing art, foreign, classic and documentary films the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm & 7:00pm.  Film discussions led by Dave Gathman.

 

Lake Theatre
The Lake Theatre will be showing art, foreign, classic and documentary films the first and third Tuesday of every month at 10:00am, 12:00pm and 7:00pm. Our advisory committee: Bobbie Raymond, Susie Helfrich, Mary Kay O’Grady, Stasia Thompson and Shirley Johnson (Classic Cinemas) who help with the selection of films.

 

Lindo Theatre
The Lindo Theatre will be showing classic films on the first Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm & 7:00pm. Film discussions led by Ed Finch and Alan Wenzel.

 

The Woodstock Theatre will be showing art, foreign, classic or documentary films the second Monday of every month at 1:00pm & 7:00pm.

 

York Theatre
The York Theatre will be showing art, foreign, classic and documentary films the second Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm & 7:00pm. Come early for 
pre-show entertainment at 12:30pm on our baby Barton Theatre organ with Dave Rhodes, Tivoli Theatre house organist. Our advisory committee: Susan Erdakos, Carol Reisenbuckler and Karen Exiner who help with the selection of films.
